Human Trafficking: Identification, Investigation, and Prosecution

Members of the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office Human Trafficking Unit will present an in-depth overview of human trafficking as it impacts our communities, with a focus on investigation and prosecution strategies.

Drawing on their frontline experience, Division Chief Lauren Walker, Human Trafficking Task Force Coordinator Jennifer Couty, Assistant State’s Attorney Kyle Doyle, and State’s Attorney Investigator Jim Adkins will discuss identifying trafficking cases, building successful investigations, and navigating the complexities of prosecuting these crimes. This presentation offers valuable insight for law enforcement professionals involved in recognizing, investigating, and responding to human trafficking.
